Healthcare: 48 Million PLN for Medical Facilities
The 2026 budget allocates nearly 48 million PLN for healthcare investments in the Ostrołęka region. The Mazovian Specialist Hospital Dr. Józef Psarski in Ostrołęka will receive 39.7 million PLN, while the Meditrans ambulance service will get funding for new facilities and equipment.

Additionally, two new ambulances will be purchased through the Mazovian Participatory Budget at a cost of 1.2 million PLN.
The hospital will also participate in a joint initiative with the First Lviv Territorial Medical Association in Lviv, aimed at increasing healthcare accessibility. The Mazovian Voivodeship will provide 1.1 million PLN as matching funds for this 13 million PLN project supported by the European Union through the Interreg program.

The total project cost is 50 million PLN, with 40 million PLN coming from the Mazovian Voivodeship budget.
Southern Bypass of Ostrołęka
The city of Ostrołęka will receive 30 million PLN for the construction of the southern bypass and a bridge over the Narew River. The total voivodeship contribution to this project is 75 million PLN, distributed over three years (15 million PLN in 2025, 30 million PLN in 2026, and 30 million PLN in 2027).

The Ostrołęka County will receive 7 million PLN for the construction of the northern bypass of Ostrołęka. The total voivodeship contribution to this project is 41 million PLN.
Additional support includes over 600,000 PLN for the Przasnysz County for the expansion of provincial road 614 Chorzele–Krukowo–Myszyniec (with a total voivodeship contribution of nearly 3.7 million PLN), and nearly 260,000 PLN for the expansion of provincial road 544 from the voivodeship border through Mława and Przasnysz to Ostrołęka (with a total voivodeship contribution of over 5.5 million PLN).

Cultural Investments: 8.9 Million PLN
The 2026 budget allocates over 8.9 million PLN for investments in cultural institutions in the Ostrołęka region. The Kurpie Culture Museum in Ostrołęka will receive the majority of these funds for modernization and expansion projects.

Headquarters Modernization
The largest investment (7.1 million PLN) will be the modernization and reconstruction of the building at Świętokrzyska 2 Street in Ostrołęka. The project will create a repository for Kurpie and Ostrołęka artifacts and museum storage facilities. The building will be expanded with an additional floor and will blend into the historic old town architecture.
Kurpie Homestead in Kadzidło
The Kurpie Homestead in Kadzidło will be expanded with nearly 1.8 million PLN in funding. The project includes a new exhibition pavilion for the permanent exhibition "Agriculture and Non-Agricultural Activities in Kurpie," shelters for beehives and tree hollows, a grill shelter for approximately 50 people, and a children's playground.
Additionally, over 27,000 PLN will be allocated for the purchase of necessary computer equipment for the museum. The Kurpie Culture Museum also participates in the "Cultural School in Mazovia" and "Support for People with Disabilities in Mazovia" programs, which allow kindergarteners, primary and secondary school students, and people with disabilities to access the offerings of voivodeship cultural institutions for a symbolic 1 PLN.
"Last year, 7,407 students and 688 chaperones took advantage of our museum's offerings through these programs. The voivodeship authorities allocated nearly 90,000 PLN for this purpose. The program is very popular, so we will continue it this year," says Maria Samsel, Director of the Kurpie Culture Museum.
